  • Instagram Data: When you connect your Instagram Business Account, we collect your Instagram username, profile information (name, profile picture), and Instagram Direct Messages
  • Lead Information: Profile details of users who message you on Instagram, including their username and message content
  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials
  • Organization Details: Team member information and workspace settings
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our platform to improve our services

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to provide and improve Closr:

  • Display in Your Dashboard: We show your Instagram messages, lead profiles, and conversation history in the Closr dashboard so your sales team can manage customer conversations efficiently
  • Service Delivery: Enable message management, lead organization, and team collaboration features
  • Account Management: Maintain your account, process authentication, and provide customer support
  • Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience
  • Communications: Send important updates, technical notices, and respond to your inquiries

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond providing the Closr service to you.

4. Instagram and Facebook Data

When you connect your Instagram account through Facebook Login, we access your Instagram Business Account data including page information, messages, and conversation metadata. We use this data solely to provide our DM management services. We do not sell your Instagram data to third parties. You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time through your Closr settings.

5. Data Sharing and Storage

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Within Your Team: Other members of your organization who have Closr accounts can access shared conversations and leads
  • Service Infrastructure: We use Supabase for secure data storage and Vercel for hosting. These providers are bound by strict data protection agreements
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights

We do not share your Instagram data, messages, or lead information with any other third parties.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security assessments, and access controls.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Data Retention: We retain your Instagram messages, lead profiles, and account information for as long as your Closr account is active. This allows you to maintain conversation history and access past interactions with your leads.

Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@tryclosr.app. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory purposes.

Instagram Account Disconnection: You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time through your Closr settings. This will stop new data collection, though existing data will remain until you request full account deletion.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access and receive a copy of your personal data
  • Rectify or update inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
